A nurturer by nature, I grew that first crop with such love and care that it was a much better end product than what the seed came from. Needless to say, the strain wasn’t “Purple Haze”, or any other “Haze” for that matter. Just a slightly better Mexican Sativa than I was used to scoring, but the line was set.

I was hooked on cultivating cannabis, and I was good at it. As the years progressed I read about, tested and built primitive hydroponic systems.

Keep in mind folks that the internet wasn’t really a thing until sometime around and after 1995, so everything was reading old Dutch publications regarding hydroponics from about the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Dutch used hydroponics in tulip production, and are credited with advancing the technique in modern times. Of course you can find evidence of use of hydroponic farming as far back as The Hanging Gardens of Babylon in antiquity, but modern techniques are mostly based on Dutch hydroponic developments and advancements.

For 30 plus years, my entire adult life I have dedicated to my passion. I’ve risked criminal prosecution during cannabis prohibition simply because I believe in how cannabis can dramatically elevate quality of life. It’s always been my goal to serve a purpose in life that enhances the human experience.

I also facilitate a Cannabis Club in Delaware, where under House Bill 1, adults 21+ can now use, trade and share recreational cannabis. This bill, effective April 23, 2023 was a huge step in the right direction.
